What's a trip to Granville Island without stops at the Feathercraft 'Factory' and Eco-Marine kayaks (At least a kayaking nut like myself's idea of a trip). I spent far too much time talking kayaks and expedition kayaking with employee Dan, as well as drooling over the 'Khatsalano'

Dan M from WCP was kind enough to meet me at nearby Vanier park with an extra kayak on his roof-rack so I had a chance to paddle up under the Burrard Street Bridge and enjoy Vancouver at Dusk. We spent 2 hours exploring and talking trips, places, kayaking, and had the opportunity for some really interesting conversation about life.
Caught the last ferry home, spent a good part of the ferry ride standing outside, enjoying the fresh air and contemplating the skill-set I'd need to undertake my first Strait crossing (solo), Victoria to Vancouver and back. Just an idea at the moment, but that's how incredible journey's start ;O)
Thanks Dan!
Time on water - 2 hours
