Flotsam

Seeing as I've been waiting out a cold I'm getting caught up on my garden and internet.

Found this today on Qajaq UZA's site...

*I remember an old fisherman telling how to gain entry to a particular coosheen, a small safe "harbour", in a fog. "Keep the master waves to your left and listen for a growling sound and a breaking sound. Head for the sounds until they come apart (seperate) and keep the breakers to your left and the growler to your right. You'll pass the sound of the breakers first. Wait until the growler is coming from your right stern and bear left into the quiet patch. That quiet patch is the coosheen. Listen to the water, she'll get you home." That was about 30 years ago and it still sticks in mind, just needs a trigger to bring it back.

A pearl of fisherman's wisdom if I ever did hear one....
